To achieve ClearHealth Quality Institute’s mission to promote quality-based practices for health plans, providers and other stakeholders across the United States, our accreditation and certification programs help assess, track and report on trends to enhance key insurance and provider outcomes. CHQI also offers educational programs, publishes issue briefs and underwrites research to raise awareness of patient safety issues and promote best practices.
Accreditation is an evaluative, rigorous, transparent, and comprehensive process in which an organization undergoes an examination of its systems, processes, and performance by an expert impartial third-party organization (accrediting body). Accreditation is not the same as certification. Accreditation goes beyond certification and requires further review and documentation against a set of standards development by industry representatives to ensure that it is conducting business in a manner that meets predetermined criteria and is consistent with national standards.
